We are on the lookout for individuals to become Sandbox Operatives on a temporary assignment at Yoker Rail Depot - a key role for the successful functioning of the rail industry.

What does the role involve?

This role entails the straightforward but essential process of filling up the sandbox containers on trains.

Why is it important?

In the autumn, millions of trees drop leaves onto our tracks which can create delays to train services. To prevent this happening, train drivers lay sand onto the tracks and to do this they need boxes full of sand.

This is where you will step in.

What we are looking for:

• Individuals who enjoy working in an outdoor environment
• Individuals with experience of manual handling or labouring (preferred but not essential)
• Individuals prepared to work day, night and/or weekend shifts
• Competent technology users

Rates:

• £17.85 p/h Umbrella
• £13.74 p/h PAYE
