Job Description

Mechanical Supervisor                                                                                      Midlands, South West

 

A leading company in the Water industry is currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join their delivery team and cover the region of Midlands/South West.

The role will focus on the assembly and installation of fabricated products in the water industry. 

What you will be doing;

  • Planning, supervising and assisting with on-site mechanical installation works associated with the companies range of products for waste water and water treatment plants
  • You’ll ensure that all activities are planned, coordinated and carried out in a safe manner complying with Health and Safety regulations.
  • Ensuring all systems are installed, tested and commissioned to relevant standards
  • Liaising with project teams throughout the project and inducting onsite personnel, subcontractors and visitors
  • Communications method statements, risk assessments and procedures to relevant personnel.
  • Ensuring that current certifications and records are maintained and ensuring any defects to plant and equipment are repaired in a timely manner.
  • Recording and closing non-conformances for individual projects and supporting the Project Manager to ensure corrective action, root cause and preventative actions are identified
  • Completing daily reports to ensure HSQE policies are maintained

What they are looking for;

  • You will have an Engineering Qualification to HND/HNC/C&G Level or equivalent
  • Previous experience within the utilities sectors, and/or Industry M&E engineering environment
  • You will have experience in planning, supervising and carrying out steelwork assembly, welding and site mechanical works
  • Good communication skills able to interact effectively with Clients and colleagues.
  • Full Driving licence as travel to various customer and company locations will be required within the region.
